I’ve given it all

There comes a point when one has to say they’ve done all they can.

We all know well enough that life can be far too overwhelming, confusing, frustrating, and headache causing too deal with sometimes. So, we do all we can, then we pull our hair, yell, and eventually surrender it all in the name of Christ.

I’m overwhelmed. I sure as heaven and hell better be real, am confused. I am definitely frustrated. I might have a migraine in five seconds if i’m not careful.

So today I just have to lift it up and say, “God you’ve given me everything I have, you have created me, and you dwell inside me. Teach me to push Nate aside, and make room for Jesus.”

Elementary maybe, but nonetheless it’s true. There is no way I can do all of this life stuff without divine grace and strength. I can give it all, and without Christ i will be left high and dry as Tom Yorke says. The decision, still in my mind, is easy. The decision, once in my flesh, proves to be close impossible. The challenges I face seem to be unending. The integrating of each new challenge and my human dispositions is more and more brilliant each time. He really was an angel at some point. I know it. I can feel it.
Thou as powerful as he was and remains, I have in me a higher power; the creator, the destroyer, the Judge, the jury. I have He who is all within me.
To let Him live is the fight.
I have given him space yet I rarely let him move. What home is that?

So every morning i must “So collect your courage and collect your horse,
And pray you never feel this same kind of remorse.”

I don’t think I finished this, but i am done writing now. Forgive me.

It is the source of the quoted lyrics.

The young man stands on the edge of his porch,
The days were short and the father was gone,
There was no one in the town and no one in the field,
This dusty barren land had given all it could yield.

I’ve been kicked off my land at the age of sixteen,
And I have no idea where else my heart could have been,
I placed all my trust at the foot of this hill,
And now I am sure my heart can never be still,
So collect your courage and collect your horse,
And pray you never feel this same kind of remorse.

Seal my heart and break my pride,
I’ve nowhere to stand and now nowhere to hide,
Align my heart, my body, my mind,
To face what I’ve done and do my time.

Well you are my accuser, now look in my face,
Your opression reeks of your greed and disgrace,
So one man has and another has not,
How can you love what it is you have got,
When you took it all from the weak hands of the poor?
Liars and thieves you know not what is in store.

There will come a time I will look in your eye,
You will pray to the God that you always denied,
The I’ll go out back and I’ll get my gun,
I’ll say, “You haven’t met me, I am the only son”.

Seal my heart and break my pride,
I’ve nowhere to stand and now nowhere to hide,
Align my heart, my body, my mind,
To face what I’ve done and do my time.

Seal my heart and break my pride,
I’ve nowhere to stand and now nowhere to hide,
Align my heart, my body, my mind,
To face what I’ve done and do my time.

Well yes sir, yes sir, yes it was me,
I know what I’ve done, cause I know what I’ve seen,
I went out back and I got my gun,
I said, “You haven’t met me, I am the only son”.
